cody123
Anyone know what I should use on the wood of my b725, not sure what the factory finish is ?
86inch
If its anything like my 525 with the satin (oiled?) finish, the Browning advice is to rub a bit of Legia spray on it from time to time. Hasn't done mine any harm.
dougall
I am surprised Browning advice is to rub gun oil into the wood?..Is it not walnut oil finished? If so rub small amounts of walnut preparation into it occassionally...I have a 425 which is oil finish..I see Legia as for gun cleaning/metalwork areas only. B725
A search on the net says it is Tru-Oilhttp://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Browning_Shotgun_B725-Hunter_For-Sale_130926132521001 Edited February 28, 2014 by B725
jimmyb79
If it's legia, only use the green legia as that's wood specific.
Dibs
They have stopped making the green Legia which is a right pain as used it on all my guns and kept them nice. I just found out this week having run out. Something similar, if there is such a thing would do the job. The red is supposed to be dual purpose so presume that's the reason the green has gone. The new large can has a green flash at the bottom saying approved for wood.
V8 90
I purchased a can of the green Legia last week from Derek Lee's in Lincolnshire

Will Poon
The finish I was told when I had my 725 sporter is like a spray on satin varnish/lacquer . I had that finish taken back to bare wood and re oiled looked a lot better IMO

Cheers Dibs I've just looked at the Can - Black lid, called Legia Combination Plus - the oil/grease is green when sprayed & smells lovely Edited February 28, 2014 by V8
