Joshcup11
Hi. I have 200 quid in my bank just sitting there and have decided to upgrade my scope. I have looked and could get a mamba for that price,a viper or even a second hand sidewinder. Are there any other type of scope you have advertised? id prefer it to be side parallax and if possible IR. i currentley have a 3-9x40 on my gun so id like something a bit bigger! Regards Josh I'd look for a second hand sidewinder. I love my 3-12x50. For a 30mm x50 it's actually very compact on the gun. Don't be too fooled into thinking bigger mag is better. I use the 3x magnification far more regularly than 12x,
Joshcup11
Thanks! Dads got a bit of an issue with secondhand things after a car that went badly wrong! Nothing he buys now is second hand unless he has shot/drove/tried it his self! The mamba looks a good scope!

Dekers
Scopes get very personal and it depends what you want to put them on as well, I have 2 x Sidewinders, they are perfectly adequate average scopes, but quite big and heavy. I would not personally consider one for an air rifle for field work!
chrisjpainter
If you're not bothered by IR, I MUCH prefer the Mamba Lite to the mamba. Side focus still, a bit smaller and lighter being a 1" tube. Also, I never had any problems with whiteout with the lite, whereas the mamba drove me mad with milky nothingness through the glass.
