there was one sat out in a field i was pigeon shooting in monday with PhilR ant it didn't seem bothered with the shot guns yet they pretty on the ball when you want to stalk one,

shall leave them now for next season if your coming down again

I'd love to mate...I saw 4 roe at my place last night (not able to shoot them though) one in the big wood when I had the HMR over my shoulder and she legged it, then on the way home 2 bucks and a doe on the track behind the main farm house, just looking at me about 40yds from the car. I watched them for ages and they didn't even run when I clapped my hands to see what they would do...like you say, I bet if I was on foot stalking them they would have scarpered!

chatting to the boss today and he is drilling spring barley in a week or so give it another week or so and when the shoots show there should be a few crows on them as the field is in an area with loads of them blackies

Shorting just down the road from you tomorrow and Sunday over rape. The farmer said he if starting the spring drilling late next week so hopefully some good bags coming.
