PAULT
Anybody in Gwent have two rifles of the same calibre one setup for day the other setup for nv.

AronDaglish
I've just put in for my firearms licence and I've asked for a bolt action .22lr and a semi auto .22 one for NV and one for standard shooting fingers crossed I'm aloud them both
steve_b_wales
Gwent are a law unto themselves. South Wales police allow this. In fact, there was a time when I had three .22LR's. If you are a member of BASC, give them a call.

northeastshooter
iv got 2 .22lr with Durham police they never seemed to have a problem one day one with a night scope
sonicdmb
BASC have added legal cover insurance to appeal refusals with a bit of luck this will alter the attitude of some forces. I have 2 22's one bolt one semi good reason to add the semi was lamping from truck for safety I don't have to have lamp fixed to gun or let go to reload. FEO was happy with that. I've just got a second 222 as a night vision dedicated rifle no problem. Remember the law requires good reason and NV is one of them. Be polite but firm and insist on answers in writing try emailing instead of phoning, stops any bull when challenged.

Therealchucknorris
I have 2 x.22lr on my ticket with no distinctions between day / night / target / field. But then I'm not in Gwent... Really don't see what their problem is, a man is allowed to have a choice and some days you may prefer rifle A over rifle B depending on the weather etc. Unreasonable barriers in the way of you holding your licence in my opinion.
