timd999 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Share Posted March 19, 2014 I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Xplor and Cosd who were kind enough to take myself and another newbie out decoying today. These guys provided an opportunity to take two complete novices (who they didn't know) on a full day's shooting, loaning kit and working their socks off to get us some sport. They had nothing to gain (wouldn't even accept payment for brekkie!), save our sincerest thanks and seeing the smiles on our faces at the end of the day. It was a really eye opening experience seeing the thought, hard work and hunting craft that goes into making a successful day. Mark and Cos, I can't thank you enough. I won't forget today's experience and very much hope that I can extend the courtesy to you guys at some point in the future. It was a pleasure to take you out and your enthusiasm to learn was my reward! Hopefully the day puts you in good stead going forward and creates a platform for you to build on. I'm not sure one ever stops learning because just when you think you've seen it all something will surprise you and remind you that we are dealing with a wild bird.
