Eley subs .22lr

Recommended Posts

I started using eley subs after my BRNO, for whatever reason, took a dislike to the winchester subs she has always been fed but I find the eleys don't have the smack that the winchesters have and I don't like the waxiness of the eleys. I might try some CCI's as they gave as good a group as the eley's when I was testing them.

Just a point:although Winnies are normally my first choice I have found the occasional batch to be poor.Might be worth trying some from a different batch, strangely the last brick I bought does not group at all well & has the odd(approx 1 in 20-25)low powered "fizzer" so possibly you have suffered the same batch.

Another thumbs up for SK/Lapua subsonics :good:

SK are a brand of Lapua, all SK and Lapua rimfire comes out of the same plant at Schönbeck in Germany.

They group better than Eley subsonics in my Ruger, shot placement is everything.
