activeviii
Just bought a Laurona boxlock O/U Was real gritty inside, as if there was a burr stopping the opening lever working. so i stripped, cleaned and its much better, but now i have something wrong within. i cant put my finger on it. I know, dont touch what you cant fix, but normally its not a problem. and have done a few ful strips on shotguns and rifles. just this time i cant get my head around it. tired i think. Anyway. i cock the gun. manual safety. left and right selector. pull trigger and gun fires, but the second barrel will not engage. its almost as if the sear isnt lifting up out of the way. makes no difference which barrel fires first. the Laurona is the one that the whole safety moves left and right to select. not just the middle bit of the safty. anyone have a trigger diagram or know what i havent done please. everything has been put back as in this photo i took before i stipped. or at least i thought it was thanks for your time All the best Phil. PS, Just sat here thinking. would the second cock on the recoil of the first barrel? Edited March 22, 2014 by activeviii
darren 67
Think recoil sets second barrel. Give the but a knock and I think you'll find it will fire ok.
welshwarrior
I'm sure it's an inertia trigger it requires recoil or a sharp tap to reset the trigger for the second barrel
wraivi
+1 on the inertia system. Looks like an inertia block hanging under the safety mech. As ww says above, give it a bump on the stock.
activeviii
As soon as I typed the above I realised the error. I spent a few hours trying to work it out but ofrn the way, you sit drink tea and it comes to you. The gents. All good now. Atb Phil

activeviii
Doh You shut up, its your fault. I said to Neil last night and straight away he told me I was stupid........
hendersons
Not sure how this one can be my fault. At the risk of sounding stupid myself, does this mean you wouldn't be able to release springs on a snap cap. Seems a little odd
activeviii
Pull the trigger to do the one barrel and them either bump the butt to set next or flip the safety on, flick selector to over barrel and the pull trigger again. hendersons
I reckon you should have bought a proper gun like a Hatsan
activeviii
Don't be soft. How the hell can I afford one of them. Way beyond what I can afford. I almost bought a single barrel Vickers to save money on cartridges.
