Hi CHaps!

I have a quandry! I Have a Suzuki wagon R+ 1.3 "same as the Vauxhall Agila!

I recently lost dipped beam functions! I tested the plugs on the headlights "They are perm live" but the centre pin is supposed to go open when the main light switch goes to main from side!

It stays live and I can't get dipped beam to work! I Have changed the dipped/pass/high switch unit but still no joy!

Having said that! The switch seems to operate correctly when the main switch goes on one pin goes open!

I Have tried everything and I Am at my witts end!

Is there anyone on here local to newcastle can sort this for me please? I am not asking for a freebie  I don't mind paying! I just need it sorted :(

Thanks

Sounds like a relay?

Apparently there is not a relay for the headlights on the Wagon R as that was MY first thought!

Trudging through the internet for hours, it seems the Wagon R headlights are fed a permanent live and the switch creates the earth without the need for a relay?

I thought ALL items drawing such wattage needed a relay? Add to that I can't find a wiring diagram nor any info on the layout of the relay box in the engine bay! Everywhere that has a copy wants close to £20 for a download? Even then there is no guarantee it will be of any help

Hodge!

Will give him a ring tomorrow when I get 5 mins. Thanks for the help!

Hodge!

Hope the trip to Kelso was fab! And thanks very much for your PM  John managed to sort the problem for me! Got my lights back. Was a fault in the loom thanks to Suzuki twisting wires in the loom, instead of using propper joints. Very happy with the work and will keep his number for future refefence!

Thanks Hodge!
