Catweazle
why wish that the farmers crop gets destroyed?? its his land and he is entitled to do what he wants with it. All this bull re `my permission` this and `my permission` that. If you don't own the land then you either pay to shoot, join a clay club or are reliant on a bit of fortune here and there. the farmers doing you a favour letting you shoot-all these folk who think their doing a sterling service and the farms would go t1ts up without you-do us a favour and wake up-you mean nothing to the farmer Have you seen what pigeons can do to young rape ? Or rabbits to spring onions ? They can strip an acre bare in days, and that's a serious problem for the farmer.
robbietherimmer
Sounds like you have had this happen to you, seem pretty bitter. The farmer is doing you a favour letting you shoot but you are also doing him a big favour doing it paying for a setup carts every time your out walking a long way to the flight line so as not to damage the fields/headland. So it works both ways as for his permission it is a permission he never said it was exclusive to him. He's just a bit miffed that he now can't shoot it. So jump down off your high horse Rimmer No never had it happen to me, I own land so no need to go cap in hand. Nothing more annoying than a couple of cammo clad muppets arrive at the door in a clapped out 4x4 or escort van wanting to shoot and when you say no thanks they take the hump. High horse - not at all - just a realist unlike many on here
wickedwickedmotox
Shooting rights dont necessarily cover it al i.e pest control, perhaps your old farmer thought that!

Or perhaps only let people on after they disclose 5 generations of their lineage to check they are posh enough? HahaThey may be annoying and may be wearing camo an driving clapped out cars but at least they want to help.
