rjimmer
Still wanting a magpie in Cornwall. I had been trying for a few days with eggs as bait with no success. I put some of the tripe that I feed the callbirds with, on the top and inside the catching chambers and had a pair next morning.

I have some tripe, I will give it a go as the eggs are not working at the moment.
rjimmer
I hope to have a spare callbird, perhaps by this afternoon, if anyone wants to collect one.
rjimmer
2 magpies to spare. I need to move the traps on, so If no-one wants them they'll have to be killed.

rjimmer
This register is an excellent idea Pity no-one wants them, though. I've now got 3 in traps that could be catching others, Had 2 in the back garden within 30 minutes of placing a callbird in the trap.

rjimmer
Wish I could help but I'm in Northamptonshire looking for one. Try some tripe on top and inside the tap. I get frozen blocks of it from pet food suppliers. When the callbirds are fed on it, they don't touch the water that's there for them. Alycidon
I had one from Colin F here last weekend, at the current rate of capture I should have filled all my traps and have call birds available from mid next week, central Northants. Thats despite rifeling a dozen or so over the last couple of weeks. Beefarmer are you still looking ?. A
