WGD
It can happen especially at this time of year when nettles are at their most "nippy". Personally I see no need to run a dog through nettles at this time of year but if it is just the nature of the ground you are on piriton helps. kent
I watched a test once and one marked was intentionally thrown into nettles, some dogs are more effected than others that I have owned. I thought this test unfair
WGD
Agreed kent, totally unnecessary in a test situation.

sonicdmb
My cocker suffers badly when the nettles are just showing citirizene anti histamine works well. Be warned though some anti histamines cannot be given to dogs, if your not sure check first.

bruno22rf
Might help if you get your dog out on hard ground more often to toughen up her pads-I also notice that dogs seem to suffer more when its been raining-maybe the water softens the pads a little?
