Bit of info please, I'm in the process of buying a Webley and Scott 700 (side by side) single trigger. question is,

Do you know if the barrels are selective

How does the trigger re cock for second barrel

Just asking out of curiosity really as both barrels are choked at 1/4

There were vey few built and they are none selective if it is an original . Not sure quite what you mean as to how does it re-cock for the second barrel as it fires right then left , it will re-set if only right barrel is fired . As with most English single triggers it is re-set when the lever is opened using the rearwards motion of the bolt . Had very little experience of them but I did covert a couple back to double trigger which entailed fitting a new furniture [ trigger plate complete with guard ] , new sears and safe .

The trigger is essentially a mechanical mechanism but it dose have a partial inertia operated interrupter.

It is not like a trigger on an O/U that is usually one or the other .I think I have one in the white

which was part of a load of parts bought after Webley ceased production so I will dig it out and look .

On a personal note I would not be keen to buy a W& S single trigger unless I had some good back up offered and I used to build 700s .
