Dirty Harry
Just had a look round Steve (well about 6ish). Pigeons on the peas either side of the wood and the big field. Only 20-30 total. Clay shoot has gone now and crow scarers done seem to be having much effect. Other farm is still quiet. Happy hunting.
steveyg
Up at silly o'clock, raining however determined to get a few shots off arrived at the perm for 7am. This perm is split into three different locations within half a mile of each other, had a ride round..nought about on two fields however a few pigeons and crows about on the third so set up. The next hour and half went very slowly, not a single shot Decided to pack up and move back to the field where myself and my father had 25 on last week, two crows down in 10mins from three shots result...it went very quiet just finished a cuppa and this rook came screaming past in the wind,up and had it ...must of been a good 45 yds out by the time i shot...it was worth getting up just for this Finished with 6 crows,2 jack daws and a single pigeon. There is over 200 acres of peas yet no pigeons.. I love crow bashing but do not get the same adrenalin rush as shooting pigeons. really lucky with the weather, glad i made the effort. really enjoyed it
