gemini52
My wife has a corsa sxi,its a 53 plate, recently she has found first and second gears have been a struggle to engage,a mate reckons it could be the ratchet on the clutch cable not taking up the wear in the clutch, any advice would be appreciated. neil82
more likely to be wear on the gear change linkage, known fault on small Vauxhall`s, if you change it there are plenty of guides on the web about setting them up, most are a plunger on the turret (g/box) and a hole below the gear lever to insert a drill bit
hodge911
would also say its the linkage done absolutely loads of them a little fiddley to do but not too hard this is what I mean http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-CORSA-TIGRA-MERIVA-COMBO-GEAR-LINKAGE-COMPLETE-ASSEMBLY-/281340393932?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorsa&hash=item418131b9cc
