The son in law and his mate had a bit of a trim up of jackdaws the other weekend on a crop that they had gotten a foothold in and were doing a lot of damage to, mainly by trampling it down. Most of the Magpies are in the woods. We were in open fields, and despite putting 2 magpie decoys on the wall behind us, we didn't see any.
