  1. Using Burns chicken and brown rice for the last 8 years and now just started in the puppy as well. Dogs love it..... Didn't realise he was anti shooting... But got to say the dogs thrive on it. This website is worth a look allaboutdogfood.co.uk
  2. Had an Echo chainsaw now for the last 4 years runs brilliantly... Imagine the strimmer so would be the same.
  3. Cracking write up almost felt I was there.....well done
  4. Working Spaniels by Joe Irving it's not a modern book but great step by step training methods explained in an easy to understand manner.
  5. Take a look on youtube there are a couple of tutorial type vids on there. Used one for years with great success, just practice when your out and about it will come.
  6. My mate has the A400 lovely gun and very little recoil you can shoot with it all day and doesn't miss a beat.
  7. Agree with Kent, but saying that he does look like a cracker, think it may be a case of heart over mind. Could you really leave him at the rescue centre. I'm sure you could train him to a decent standard irrelevant of his background.
  8. Brilliant! BBQ swimming pool, small fire to keep midges away, and plenty of cold lager, it's going to be a long day.
  9. What a great dog.....just remember the good days and that she was given the best life that she could have had.
  10. Good shooting Steve, there's definitely tell plenty of jack daws around here, surprised you didn't get a couple of magpies having a nose on the outskirts, there seems to be stacks around this year.
  11. Can't say I felt sorry for them. At this level you can't defend like that far too much space was given to Uruguay. The premiership's top scorer will bang those goals in all day given that much space. England's goal came from a tackle I think they were lucky to get that. Tomorrow's papers Hodgson to be sacked... you watch (unfair I think as the best players he had were on the pitch)

    Tony Blair

Blair - absolute knob rot and his party. Tricked the country and the people and we lost so many young lives for what! Now it's kicking off again let's send some of his loved ones out there. He must be one of the most hated men in the country and so far out of touch with the working man.

    Magpies

+1 for some reason you see 6 or even more these days working the trees, what chance have these songbirds got. Years ago you would see 1 or maybe 2 together but the numbers have quad rippled. Our bluetits behind the house were decimated a day after they came out of the nest box... Gutted.
  14. Yes seen this earlier, the ones moaning are the people who think their meat is grown in Tesco. It's a sad state of affairs when this generates this reaction. Rabbit kebabs rule.
  15. As a proud Welshman I still hope England get through at least we won't have weeks of media bull**** of what went wrong! England 2 Uruguay 1 Germany v Argentina final
  16. I would be surprised if he caught that alive ?
  17. We have a three year old whippet cross that will chase almost anything if we let him and when he turns it on there is not much that can stop him. But saying that he has a great temperament and enjoys nothing more than lying with the kids on the settee or in front of the log burner in winter. He's not the smartest dog we have ever had but as Kent mentions it does make them easier to train. I use to race Greyhounds myself on local flapping tracks, great fun but always kept the dogs after they had retired they are great house dogs / pot fillers even though a but too slow for the track. Hope you have many happy years she looks a cracker.
  18. Couldn't make this year game fair in the end, lucky by the sound of it. Have attended the welsh one a couple of times and traffic and food prices are always a problem, but doesn't this apply to all the game / country shows. There are not many event days around now where you take the family along and you spend less than £70 / £80. Never been to the CLA so can't comment, but sounds like its worth a look.
  19. I wish ..... Ha haNot a brilliant game and the penalty was a bit dodgy, plenty more to come, happy days.
  20. Have a Weim at the moment great bitch, just getting a little old and want something to learn a little from her before she stops working. Cheers
  21. Brazil under loads of pressure for the first game, second half I foresee them getting another 2.
  22. Cheers guys...going to do a bit more research before I decide.
  23. I'm will be looking to acquire a new dog in around 9 to 12 months time. The dog will be used for rough shooting and falconry, with the aim being to have the dog pretty much up to speed before getting a bop. I currently have a HPR who is great, however by next year will be 11 years old and getting on a bit. I have read some articles and watched the usual you tube clips, but was looking for some advice from people who actually own a suitable breed, rather than some of the sales pitches being advertised on the dog sites.
  24. Good vid.... Air arms 1 Mr Rat 0 Got a day planned next week on the rats on my mates small holding.
