Frenchieboy
It had been posted on here before but even so well done for finding it and putting it on here. They certainly look well worth a try for those like me who like to go out with a minimal amount of weight and bulk to carry!

Frenchieboy
Just sitting down making a few they don't look to bad for my first time I've just made a dozen. Hopefully I will be going out shortly to give them a go! If I do I'll let you know if they bring the crows in. paddymax123
I have made 30 of these my self and used them yesterday morning. although i arrived late and had to move out of the field due to muck spreading only two hours later i had some great reactions from the crows especially as they are very touchy at this farm. within 5 mins of them being out i had 15 birds come off a flight line 300m away. well worth the time and effort!! Sha Bu Le
Wonder if it works on maggies if a white strip was painted on Thinking about this further if bags of a suitable colour (plus a little artwork) were used then decoys could be made for a variety of birds. Going to pinch a few bags off Mrs S and make some.
Frenchieboy
Thinking about this further if bags of a suitable colour (plus a little artwork) were used then decoys could be made for a variety of birds. Going to pinch a few bags off Mrs S and make some. I can't see any reason why the grey coloured bin bags you can get should not work for pigeons, maybe with a couple of flashes of white paint on them in the right places! These decoys are certainly cheap and easy enough to make so it could well be worth a try, especially as those that have tried them have got some pretty good results from them with the "black uns"! Sha Bu Le
Put 4 in the corner of the garden last evening, what a kerfuffle at 05:30 this a.m. Jackdaws going absolutely apepoo. circling the garden, going up to the roof and then another circuit. Landed on neighbours fence for a couple of seconds and then another circuit. Unfortunately none landed for long enough to get the HW100 on them and a shotgun is defo not an option given the location. IMO and others; it does show that these simple decoys do have an effect on the corvid population. Going to paint some white on them and see what they do with our surfeit of mags, perhaps in a few days.
