Late introductions...

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone...

Having read for years, joined a few months ago, and first posted today regarding an issue I have with my Enfield .410 conversion, I thought I should pop over here and say hello & introduce myself.

I've not been lucky enough to have family who shoot; through friends and my girlfriends dad, I have been gradually introduced to the sport. This started with my granddad showing me his very old BSA air rifle when I was much smaller, to shooting it, to shooting it on my friends' farms, to shooting a multitude of firearms in the army cadets, to shooting shotguns on the friends' farms, and onto shotguns again, more recently, with my friends and father-in-law before finally going for the SGC and having a cabinet of my own.

I now shoot whenever possible. Despite living in Hampshire, I primarily shoot where the friends and in-laws are in Sussex (rough shooting and lamping, as well as helping the girlfriend's dad with vermin) and thoroughly enjoy it! I also shoot at West Kent when I do go for a day of clay.

I have had a few guns in the last year that have come and gone and am currently using the only 12g that I've found in my budget that fits me, which is a nice single trigger Baikal with a stock extension. I also have just got hold of a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 Sporterized .410 conversion (that I have been after for years after having a deact previously) and that is the gun that spurred the posts today.

I'm very glad to finally be contributing on here and although I am relatively new, I do hope that I don't become to irritating and am able to help the odd PW-er!

Many thanks,

Mike
