Birx
Is anyone using a Tikka T3 LITE in 204 Ruger? I have a 204 Ruger in a heavy barrelled rifle because I want to see the bullet strike, but it's heavy to walk around with. I'm considering swapping to a T3 Lite, but am concerned that I might not be able to watch the bullet strike in a lighter rifle. I just wondered if anyone is using a spotter barrelled 204 (with a moderator), and could help me with this?
zx10mike
mate my wife can hold my 204 varmint, you need to buy a proper heavy straight profile barreled rifle for a few weeks and realise how light they are.
V8 90
Put a Z Aim Sling on it - I have 1 on my T3 .204 Varmint - very easy to carry & it never slips off you shoulder
Birx
Thanks for the replies. The weight isn't too much to bear - but I'd like something a little less weighty.
CharlieT
Thanks for the replies. The weight isn't too much to bear - but I'd like something a little less weighty. I'm thinking of doing exactly the same thing. Ignore the macho, masochistic comments, only fools carry great heavy lumps around the countryside. My thoughts are, that as the .204 is such a soft recoiling caliber, no matter how light the rifle, one should still retain the sight picture. V8 90
I have just sold my Kimber .204 it was very light - it was very easy to stay on shot.

foosa
I use a ruger hawkeye in .204 with a muzzle mounted mod, a duralyt scope shooting mostly of a bag or bipod. I can carry that all night and I see every bullet strike, it really is a joy to use.
kent
I fail to see you not being able to especially with a moderator holding the front down. Its a funny thing though because depending on stance and hold you can see the strike with far heavier cals than .204 in a sporter format, yet still some struggle
bullet boy
I've not shot a .204 but as far as the Tikka T3 Lite rifle-it is a superb rifle and highly recommend it! ATVB.
