Cranfield
I,ve used owl decoys for magpies and had quite a few crows come to attack/harrass it. Its got to be worth trying, that will be the only test.
Lurch
They can be. Tip is to make sure that the owl is facing where you expect the crows to come in. If you back it up with a crow call you can soon have the air above you black with crows. If you bag a crow, put it at the feet of your owl - that sends them bonkers! Teal
Movement / size are key. These are the two attractions, the big eyes are a must (teddy bears work as well as the crows see the eyes anad think "OWL!!!" )
baikiel boy
Many thanks for advice. I purchased one owl & one crow caller today, cost £13 for the owl & £3-49 the caller. The owl is fixed to a base "static". I think im going to fix it to a coil spring & the spring to a stake, attache fishing line & this should give the "owl" some movement , a final touch a "crow" at its feet as suggested . Will report back after usage. Got to get a spring yet. regards baikiel boy
