Tony G
After looking at flat barley and peas this morning I had found nothing ! On the off chance I drove up the road to find another farm to find they had swathed the rape It was heaving with birds ! Quick call at the farm and it was game on Got all set up only to find rotary wouldn't work so used the 2 deada on flappers and put 12 shells up on the rows of rape Started at 2 and had to wrap up at 6 with 35 in the bag Lots of birds about but unknown to me a big field over the road was swathed aswell so most of the traffic switched to there after we had shot a few Good to finally get a few and see a good lot aswell

ezi bez
Get some bags on sticks and put them out on the field your not shooting and try using dead birds they work so much better than shells or full bodied plastic birds. I did the same thing this weekend with the peas and barley , nothing to b seen .so I had alook at some rape I new was about ready and sure enough the pigeon were on the swaths I shot 77 in 3 hrs on the friday and 72 on sunday with no spinner no bobbers or flappers just dead pigeons so it goes to show you can still achieve good bags without all the mod cons! Happy hunting and get back at em. Aaron B
