yickdaz
went out yesterday for a look round our far flung permissions to just have look not been around these for a while, didn,t really find many birds on them we did see a couple of flightlines heading over standing wheat on our land heading to a standing rape field just off ours may wait till the rape is harvested and shoot the boundary on our way back to a local farm were we have been shooting them on layed barley recently, we saw a load of birds on wires above a couple of standing wheat fields so pulled over to watch and see how many there was and were the farm was, we drove around trying to find the lane that led up to the farm that was hard work, whilst doing that we saw 2 cut grass fields full of crows turns out these fields are on the same farm as the pigeons, we saw eventually found the farm and knocked on the door farmer wasn,t in but his missus said call back in 30 mins or so he will be in, anyhow he gave us the nod to have a go at the crows it was a late set up only managed 4 and a pigeon but next time we call at the farm we will ask for the pigeons so today it was back to our local farm on the layed barley we shot on this field 3 times in 8 days now, for 36, 32, 34, not big bags but a bit of steady shooting and with a rest there will more to come on it started at 12.30pm finished at 5pm 34 picked with 40 on clicker
