The waiting game

Well it looks like this week will be the first for a good while when I do not get out for a day.

The last of my vining pea stubbles have gone , the harvest peas are far too high and there are very few birds on them anyway .

So looks like I will have to wait now until some harvesting starts , my one and only rape field does not look far away , but the weather is not looking great , I have a horrible feeling it will be cut while I am at work next week , which means I am likely to miss out to another shooter its in a area that has produced lots of pigeon in the past too.

No Barley on my farms either so I will be in for a bit of a wait unless something turns up out of the blue.

The most annoying thing is Mrs Fenboy is likely to find me lots of "jobs " to do if I am not shooting , roll on harvest

Don't worry, FB, I should be able to find us a few to shoot on in the near future. I have got some barley stubble to shoot on already, but sadly not many birds on it yet. I have around 40 rape fields to choose from, with quite a bit hopefully being cut within the next 10 days. I will be in touch with an invite soon.

Cheers Motty , look forward to it .

Its a pain not having much rape and no Barley this year which has left a bit of a gap in the shooting calendar for me.

Talks of plenty of rain tomorrow would be nice if it takes a good lump of wheat down.

I may have a go at some clays at the weekend to keep my eye in .
