steve_b_wales
I am having difficulty getting hold of some more Speer Varmint 45gr bullets to reload. What would be an good alternative?
wymberley
The one problem at the moment is that Hornady has ceased making some of the less popular bullets because of extraordinary demand for others. This, as reported elsewhere on here, has recently been relaxed but not, unfortunately, for Hornet types. If you can't find any, that is the reason (but I've just got some without a problem), but you could try their 45gr Hornet - it's one of the better ones with a high BC if necessary. The Sierra range is also worth looking at and the 45gr SPT (Code S 1310 in particular). Edit: "Loading" corrected to making Edited July 16, 2014 by wymberley
Underdog
Speer make good bullets and that was a fave of mine too but Speer seem to of dried up! Sierra do very similar in 40grn that also used and they were very good also. U.

steve_b_wales
Update. Henry Krank is out of Sierra bullets, and expecting a delivery in 3-4 weeks. But Tim Hannam has Hornady 45grn in .223 & .224 in stock. I'm not happy about the price though - £22.85/100 (Sierra are £14.10/100) + pp to RFD
