Paul223
In 6 volt to sound on an auto feeder, any recommendations
scotslad
I had this idea last year, not as simple as it sounds. Some buzzers don't work on 6v ended up putting a completety seperate timing system and power supply for the buzzer, which had a few teething problems hopfully got them ironed out now for this year I just looked on evilbay for all the parts
Paul223
One of these would be ideal, this one is 24volt and takes a second or two to spin up, a 12 volt version would work just about right, not full on and soft starting, can I find one! scotslad
Are u making the auto feeder too? U can buy them for about 50=70quid I stuck a led light dimmer switch inline too so i could alter the volume of buzzer, ie for quietier in the pen at start and wind it up later on
Paul223
Yeah we have plenty of auto feeders, SABS had an idea of 6 volt horn dampened with a rag and some tape, horn on order as a trial, interested in other ideas as well though
scotslad
If u search this time last year (or possibly sligtly earlier may time?) i was loooking for advice how to make/wire a seperate timer/alarm unit so the alarm would come on 5mins before feed spun out to attract the brds in. I had a seperate timer wired to a dimmer switch (to reduce voltage=volume) wired to a alarm, didn't work as well as i hoped due to the timer not working right hopefully got it fixed for this year

shoot and be safe
Aye up Mark, Hows the new motor mate? Paul223
Ended going with these It's a truck reverse alarm, 12-80 volt but works fine at 6 and only has a 0.1 amp draw so much better than a horn, still needs a rag to muffle it slightly though Wired direct in with motor feed!
