The Essex Hunter
As far as pinning topics goes, we often hang back on dishing out advice and defer to the members firstly because we dont pretend to know everything and secondly because irrespective of what help we may try to give there is inevitably some anorak who will try to pick holes in anything we say and turn it into a contest about who knows most just because we moderate the forum and that brings out the chippyness in some. Anyway you have your opinion and I have mine, but it looks a lot more like you are just trying to start an argument than actually have any sort of sensible discussion, so I'll leave it at that and head off out shooting I think. Safe shooting................... TEH

Guest stevo
The way I was taught in this situation by my dad many years ago ( not saying this is how you should do it , just that this is how I do it , and works great IMO ) is like this you build two hides side by side ( like the picture below ) , with a net about 6ft x 6ft works spot on , running through the middle , when your set up and your net running through the middle at 6ft high , you both get in your separate hides and shoot , however the golden rule is you only shoot the birds YOU can see , the net through the middle will NOT allow one shooter to barrel over the top of the other and visa versa ___________________ | | | | hide 1 | hide 2 | | | | | | | |__________|_________| my pic has come out funny haha , but you get the idea Edited August 7, 2014 by stevo

smokeyoakey
Why don't you set your poles at the height of the net then you wont have to keep lifting the gun over the poles thus interrupting the swing.... It looks more like a grouse butt.....but a few days early..... TEH I was about to same the same, that would put me off, all the same good video with some cracking shooting
aga man
Good video srspower, nice to see you still have plenty of enthusiasm and you make good use of the dead birds my only critism would echo the comments of others regards the hide poles and also the strap on the mossberg, although they are very useful they can be a pain with hide nets, i have suffered it myself and at times it can cost you a left and right or even a triple. Keep on posting though, made good viewing on this rainy day.
activeviii
Spring clips from poundland. Forget the loops, clip net to poles. One gun shoots, one films. Even the very safest of guns can get carried away in the heat of battle. Leave gun uploaded so one isn't tempted to pick it up to try shooting the fleeing bird.
