would there still be a chance of getting any poults and if so would you know the going rate please.

Yes, you should still be able to buy poults. Have a look in the back of the Shooting Times, or you may be able to find some here:

I paid £3.45 each for pheasants this year, but they are normally a bit cheaper for later poults

Hi, we paid £3.50 for 8 week olds

Where abouts are you mate. Got about 350 left, 6 weeks old tomorrow, they can go for £3 each. I'm in fife. Got some 8 by 8 brooder sheds looking for a home if anyone wants them too. Well used but will do another season or two.

£4.20 would be about the going rate for partridges? You should be able to get pheasants for £3.50 or less, especially at this time of year.

Probably looking at £3.20 or less for this time of year... Remember an 8 week old poult now will only really be ready come the middle to end of November.

Paid 3.10 for my 10 week old pheasants, helped the game farmer out a couple evenings bit fitting earlier on and gott 100 partridge chucked in for that, good deal I think, very happy. Birds look great, never had a prob with them ever.
