Not CTRL, but the left or right windows keys.

On a side note how the heck did mickey$oft pull that off, keys named after their own os :good:

Take the keyboard out, turn it upside down and bang it over the sink using the palm of your hand. Don't worry about being gentle, its only a keyboard (by the same token there is no need to kick the living **** out of it either). You will probably be surprised what comes out of it :D

Post again of that doesn't sort it. Oh, er, shut down the PC before unplugging anything or plugging anything in, just in case :good:

The one I have, I am very particular about my keyboards, has had coffee, coke, wine, juice, water, cig ash - you name it. Its been washed and dried about 5 times and keeps on working :)

If the thing you spilt is sticky then you might need to take it to bits and clean the residue off the membrane (or clean the microswitches if its posh).

It was cider. I did split the keyboard at first and tried to clean it that way. That did not work and someone told me about the shower trick and I tried that, that did not work so it went in the bin.
