Country Boy
I don't think it is feasible that any kind of pigeon duck or goose decoy could be granted a patent, all this talk of Patents Pending and TM's is a load of claptrap. Beesleys pulled this stunt when they first launched their Pigeon Magnet but it did'nt stop many others copying it since then, has anyone heard of action being taken against them? NO of course not. Cranfield
Country Boy, having spent my working life in manufacturing, with full exposure to the world of patents and trademarks, believe me, almost anything can be patented. We employed specialist agencies to search for any infringements, rarely did we need to prosecute, as a sharp letter usually worked. Sometimes, there only needs to be a small alteration in the design, or formulation, to get round a patent. By the way, its not called "pulling a stunt", its called, "protecting your investment". Country Boy
I'll take that as a smack on the legs then Brian? ...But as you stated ... "sometimes, there only needs to be a small alteration in the design or fomulation to get round a patent"... exactly - which is why surely, no one would ever go to the trouble and expense to patent a pigeon decoy? Cheers, C.B.

pjohn
Will At the end of the day your game fair discount was about 3 quid I was only asking for another pound or so no cheek no chance but your old mans response was abit abrupt and rude in my opinion He did offer them for free but that was just being silly! Cranfield
The PigeonWatch discount is available on list priced items only, any products that are already discounted on special offer, are excluded. This has always been the case, but perhaps we have not made it clear enough in our notices, that has been corrected.

starlight32
Forget about patents, copywrite, trademarks.................. Go to china they will make it for 1/3 of the price they will mark it up with what you want. But I do know an RFD who sourced decoys from china recently. The quality was what you would expect.................
