trxnav
Took the brother in law out Friday evening as promised to try for his first roe buck we got to the chosen farm at around 6.30 pm so had about a hour of light left. This farm is just open fields with a small wood bordering the back so the plan was with the wind we had been given was to walk down to wood and wait on the edge to see what emerged. We waited for about 20 mins when I glassed the stubble field in front to see a nice buck coming from the farm yard direction. Now we had a problem as the wind was totally wrong so we had to move if we stood any chance so I told him to follow my every step we managed to stalk about 250 yards to the opposite end of the wood without being heard or seen and sat watching and waiting. The buck was making his way towards us slowly but it seemed like a lifetime as the light was now fading on us fast I heard a rustle to my right and glassed the area to see 5 does coming out of the wood grazing on the stubble. This did us a massive favour as they caught the bucks attention so pulled him around at a more of a slight angle so we now had a safe shot it was now or never as the light was not gonna hold out much longer he calmed his nerves to try and stop the shaking cross hairs on target and squeezed the trigger the buck dropped on the spot with a good clean neck shot. Got the fella in the truck and back to farm took a quick pic now for the messy part when the brother in law turned round and said I guess I should do the honours who was I to argue he weighed 32lb done out so all in all was great stalk from start to finish with a nice 4 pointer one happy brother in law which I now think has a case of buck fever so much so he pestering me to take him out again tomorrow evening for another roe or fallow pricket I have my eye on Atb trxnav
loriusgarrulus
Very nice. I like the big tray you have him on. Ideal to keep the mess enclosed.

loriusgarrulus
Had a look on bushwear, but couldn't find it. They have probably changed it. Lots of interesting stuff on there though. Wonder if you could use a large plasteress bath for the same thing. They are 120 x 60 x 40cm.
