bostonmick
there are quite a few clay grounds within a short drive from Stamford, you have sinclairs near spalding.in boston you have fen clay/haven bank/a little further towards Skegness there are two clubs sharing a ground east coast and manby.grimsthorpe is a fantastic ground near bourne,i shoot there on average 3 or 4 times a month.as far as I know none of these have a range for rifles.but I am sure the local gunsmiths can advise him on the locations.atb
Gonna Shoot a Wabbit
Ey up mick, grimsthorpe sound ideal and is within 30 mins. i have had a quick look on the net and cant find a website for them. Can you please advise what days they shoot on, what days are open practice, how much for 50 clays. I visit family down there regularly and may even see you there, many thanks Adrian
bostonmick
grimsthorpe is open every day unless they have a competition on in which case it is closed the week prior to it for course setting.there is only about 5or 6 a year.you need to phone a few days before you want to go and book.you will need somebody with you as you go around and have to button yourself on these practice days.the cost is £30 for 100 birds.the contact number is 01778591128.its best to call in the evening as they are farmers so out most of the day leave a message and contact number if you get the machine they will get back to you.it sounds worse than it actually is but this is a top ground for sporting.you will not be disappointed.atb
