shootinfishin
What's the differences and relative merits between A. Simmons whitetail classic 3.5-10 x50 B. SMK 3-9x40 C. Hawke Sport HD Mil dot 3-9x50 Please :-)
bluesj
Of the three the Simmons is the best in my veiw got a couple not too bad. Then at twice the price of the Hawke it should be then the Hawke, got a couple of them as well the older one is ok the new one is C**P! it will not hold zero, but i think its my one that is fualty not all of them. I've never had a SMK but wouldn't think its as good as the hawkes Non of the are going the be stunning, and nether the Simmons of Hawke are that great in low light. I'd disagree about the white tail classic, Philippines made ones are very good in low light and brilliant scopes for the money. I had a 40 mm objective and it was great, the 50 mm will be even better. The smk scopes are a false economy in my opinion and Hawke make some good middle of the road scopes but out of the 3 the wtc wins hands down. FalconFN
That depends on what you are trying to pick out........ TEH I'm not really sure what you mean. There will be much better scopes (and much more expensive) , but from those 3 scopes the wtc will be by far the best in low light.
