It had a bathroom with a toilet in it,then another toilet next door to it with a shared stack between the two. We converted the toilet room into a utility with a washing machine below with a shelf with a dryer above. The drain from the washing machine was fitted to the side of the stack with a reducing pipe. The U bend on the washing machine outflow must stop any smells from the stack as we have had it this way for 14 years now with no problems. The We of course means OH did it really. pistolgrip Posted October 6, 2014 Report Share Posted October 6, 2014 Yes it looks fine if you have trouble with the trap being sucked out replace the solvent weld (glued) elbow with a tee and put a 40mm air admittance valve on the upstand bit higher than the waste water entry point.
