M ROBSON
I think its a great idea! existing members have another week or so to change their profile to display their name and email address, and don't need to pay anything. Only people who are new or get deleted for not complying then rejoin have to pay. Its only $5 (about £3) to join. Since everyone was more than willing to pay £5 to keep this forum running I don't think you have anything to grumble about.
Guest flightline
Who is Eric Begbie please? Which team does he play for?
Cranfield
It also keeps nuisance posters off the site. For that reason and the income, I,m suprised more Forum sites don,t follow suit.
Jonnyni
I have to agree with Cranfield You only needed to put NAME ADDRESS (rough idea of where you a from) EMAIL In the profile and if you where a new member $5 (about £3) If the anti's want in they will have to pay for it. Yorkshire Wildfowler
Cranfield I entirely agree with you about pay site forums by paying as you have said it keeps off the riffraff and the genuine articles on so I cannot understand when I suggested to William to go down that road but it was advised to go for corporate advertising and he finally settled for donations. I still say pay to post is still the best way. Luv Martin
Vermin Dropper
I think a free trial period would be a good idea, to get people interested, then pay up or lose out. It's ok saying £5 is a small price but it always seems to come from people who haven't made a contribution in the first place. Will, start chargin mate! M ROBSON
I made the $5 contribution last week, it worked out at £2.80, about the cost of one of these new Hevi-shot cartridges!!!!!!
