spandit
My lamping torch is mounted on top of the scope but I do get some glare from the mod and the front bell of the scope - has anyone tried mounting a lightweight torch directly onto the moderator - with a bipod the balance wouldn't be so bad and I wouldn't have thought a .22LR would get that hot or would it ruin the harmonics of the barrel? white van man
The barrel should be free floating, so the bipod needs to be on the stock. You will be told putting a light on the mod will upset the harmonics. But what's the difference between a heavy mod or a light mod and torch. You will obviously need to scope in. Try it and see, if it shoots all over the place then you know not to do it. Just make sure the weight isn't pulling the barrel onto the stock. Cheers Steve. loriusgarrulus
Would putting something matt finish on the mod and scope help to stop the glare. Either matt paint or camo tape.
Dougy
Bit of tape on bottom of scope to stop reflection. Your idea will work but will alter your POI.
