The Essex Hunter
I am lucky to get some wild fowling invites from a friend, over the years I have been distracted with pigeons, however the marsh does have a great appeal and with fleeting glimpse's of your quarry where all your senses are put to the test.. With a predicted tide of 4.7 the chance of getting cut of was very low as no duck is worth the chance of that... My waders came in to play on the way back as I decided to pick my own path instead of following my experienced shooting partner! It is not a great feeling with the mud holding you as an when it wants... So 3 mallard 3 teal and a widgeon, plus another lesson learned..........!!
