PeteC
Trouble is some people just don't know when to quit. Give them enough rope and they will eventually hang themselves. :-)
marsh man
Looking how soft that mud was in the gutter and the conditions they shot in they deserved all they got , how refreshing to see three chaps covered in mud with smiles on there faces , brilliant photo and if you could pitcher in your mind what would be the ideal place shoot wildfowl in this would be it . As far as range is concerned they were in range to them and that's all what matters , these boys know what there doing with a lot of combined years of wildfowling behind them . Paul stated none he fired were over 45yds and with the right loads and someone who can hold there gun straight they were in his caperbillites , shooting on the saltings there the sort of ranges you have got to take them on , even though I tend to take them on a bit lower than that very few people can get one with each shot weather there 25yds away and up to the distance they shot there geese at , so lets give them the credit they deserve and stop trying to find little faults. Gentlemen, this is a thread of joy. .
PeteC
Well said Marsh Man. They had a great days shooting. All of them good sportsmen. None of them posting negative **** on Forums criticising other clubs activities. Just getting on with it and minding their own business, which is what a lot of other so called wildfowlers ought to be doing instead of trying to bring the sport of wildfowling into disrepute with unfounded allegations of long range shooting. I think it's just a case of jealousy of other peoples success.
