maxwell
Hi Guy's Has anyone got hands on experience of the trigger and barrel mechanism on an Investarm 20g o/u, I would like to lighten the barrel cocking lever and adjust the trigger as it has a lot of creep, the gun is used by my son who finds the cocking lever a bit heavy after a box of shells on the clays Is there a supplier of parts for these guns in the Uk as it may just need a lighter spring ? Thank you in advance Cheers Maxi
Gunman
Is it the top lever cocks the gun model?

TR1
I have the Hushpower version . The gun is basically a cheap action with few refinements. I stripped mine and found an additional short length of mainspring had been added by previous owner which made cocking very heavy. Removed this and now better but still not light. Also found a lot of grease in the action which when cleaned out and lightly oiled improved things generally. Trigger mechanism can be removed by knocking out 2 small pins I believe. Saddlery and Gunroom the Hushpower people keep most parts
welshwarrior
Either saddlery and gun room or York guns for parts. The issue is you use the top lever to cock these guns so it has to move future than normal and push back both main springs, normally the barrels moving down recock the main springs so use more leverage making it easier. Gunman
Not a lot you can do about the top lever , May be possible to improve the trigger pull but is all a matter gentle polishing and that can take time taking it apart and putting it back together half a dozen times .Go to far and you can get double discharge or cocking problems . Fil
That's the drawback of this top lever cocking gun I'm afraid. I usually wouldn't recommend them for younger shots for this reason. Which is a shame as they are otherwise ideal guns for new starters. I've had people complaining that the gun doesn't work but what they didn't realise is they weren't actually opening the lever far enough to cock the hammers. Something you need to get used to.
