roadkill
What products are available to protect and keep are stocks in top condition? My shotgun is looking a bit used after seven years of good service also a wet day like today doesn't help
seeker
CCL .. Either full re-finish (4-6 weeks) or Conditionning Oil (c.2 days). A beeswax polish puts a good topcoat too....
welshwarrior
Never used CCI but heard some good things Trade Secret is also very good for a stock oil but also a top up. The wood should be part of the clean process, avoid getting gun oil on it, polish with beeswax (I prefer a cream) every few outings once a week for me will keep the stock looking nice and protect it done get wax in the chequering though. What do I do about cleaning the chequering then as the forearm is all chequering?
Gunman
Thinners and a cotton bud then brush out with a stiff fine bristle brush. I have used a suede brush for years but a phosphor bronze barrel brush will do but be very gentle .
