jimmyb79
I'm looking at picking up an IR lamp for my digital NV scope (ATN X-Sight when it arrives). I was looking at the NM400 as I have a NM800 coloured led already and have been impressed with it. I had also considered an IR module for the NM800 but I think it'll be a bit overpowering. The setup is going on a 223 for fox out to 150ish yards and occasional rabbit. For the money I was wondering whether I'm better going with the T38 instead of a nightmaster product? According to the dealers site it's an upgraded version of a T20... Just wondering if anyone had experience of using this lamp with digital NV such as a Yukon Photon and how it performs? steve_b_wales
You can fit an IR pil in the NM800 and use it on a lower setting. I have done this with mine and it works well. And for long range use,it's excellent.
Davyo
I have the NM800 red led with an IR led in a spare neck section.I have used t20 IR with doubler ok for money but not a patch on the NM
rich1985
i use nite scout t20 on my DIY unit, shoot foxes at 130 yards no problem. the nm800 is better of course but look at the price difference!!
jimmyb79
Ah well, a NM800 IR Led in neck isn't much more than the T38 kit...might be an option with it turned down.
K-B-T
The t20 and the t38 are exactly the same performance wise it is the t50 and the t67 which are better than the t20
