Which anchor bolts?

I used these on both my ammo safe and cabinet:

The advantage over an expanding rawl bolt is that they don't cause the wall blocks to split or crack, even works with those crumbly powdery ash blocks that modern houses have.

I struck lucky going into concrete block as I hit no central voids - I did have resin sleeves and threaded bolt to hand in case I hit it

 

Our FEO, on phoning and booking the home visit said it was OK to install the cabinet above the skirting - unprompted as well - too keep the wifey's happy

 

So that was how it was installed - and he passed it.

 

Although next year we are having a move about bedroom wise and will more than likely re-site the cabinet to elsewhere - I will have to see what is said at that point
