RAINING

Is anyone out there planning on building an ark?

I’m serious…it’s started to rain again here and as we’re already well flooded where’s all this water gonna go? If the powers that be impose another hosepipe ban this summer I think they should be lynched for their inefficiency.

Spring drillings are going to be well late this year, maybe abandoned altogether ‘cause even if the rain stops now it’s going take weeks for the fields to dry out. Still on the bright side what’s not drowned should grow like hell once the sun comes out!

If flooding becomes a problem, maybe some dutchies can come over to help you guys out  .

We have managed to keep our floods in control, good thing because 70 % of our country is below sealevel..... :D

Always like the questions of the american tourists who ask where Hansje Brinkers lives, the boy who put his finger in the dyke and prevented flooding of the Netherlands. :good: Of course this is just a bed time story and not true. But we are proud of our dikes ! (no humorous comments about women please :/ )

As a nation we do not do floods, snow or certain types of leaves. Any of the above can cause us to grind to a standstill. :good:
