felly100
Cunninghams are pretty good. Don't know if it's just a Sheffield thing though. Edited December 18, 2014 by felly100

TriBsa
Pickled onion buying tip. If you like them crunchy have a close look at the cuts where they've been topped and tailed. If these aren't flat (i.e. they're bowed out) they'll be slimy/soggy/soft.

RedRobin
Remembered to do mine but my Brother took most when he visited, leaving me only a couple of jars shop bought are awfull in comparison BB LOL I know the feeling BB. The Mrs normally does some onions with garlic in and some with chilli in, obviously along with the traditional recipe. Ours normally get 'borrowed' to try . Thanks chaps for the comments. ........ I couldn't face the Christmas left over turkey and ham without a good old Pickled Onion . Im going to give the Garners a try,. The M&S sound bloody lovely. Nice one . Tad-blody
Another +1 for Garners we like the 'sweet vinegar' type all shops around here have stopped selling them though. I've noticed a lot have 'sweetener' and not sugar added, I don't trust synthetic sweetners so leave them where they are.
Mike737
I don't eat them, but the Mrs. does. She will only consider Garners. Mike.

RedRobin
Well how were they? They are very nice. Have to say they're probably as close to Homemade . Reckon its the Malt Vinegar they use. Well worth that little bit extra . Anything like my wife he won't be able to eat them till Xmas tea. LOL .. Yes felly . its like that here too. Cupboards full to the door. I managed to persuade the Mrs to 'sample' a Jar of the 2 she'd bought. Reckon we munched through half of the Jar . Happy Christmas chaps
