red_stag88
Your forgetting a rifle round travels much faster than a shotgun (around 1300fps) How much drop did you give it?
NGhost
these were slow 223's for me at only 3000 ft/s (tnt's fall apart at 3500). And he was not doing the 20-30 mph that the old pigeons do. No drop

ollie
Why didn't you introduce a different noise like tapping a car roof, this would have caught the foxes attention and made him stand for long enough to get the shot of. it works trust me. The Sniper
NGhost, If you want to try a bullet that will stand the 3500 barrier get some 50 g v max. My Remi 223 is pushing 3550 fps and I 've never had any problems with v max. Plus they are very effective on foxes.
NGhost
Thanks I will have a go with those. But I have 200 TNT to get through first. 3000 ft/s is no problem, but I like to experiment with different rounds. I always load a bit slower than max as I find I get better groupings. The strange thing is that when I went in to get the bullets I said "v-Max er sory TNT"
red_stag88
When a fox is moving, I put the cross hairs on him, then yell something along the lines of "OI, YOU FOX!" The stop for just enough time to squeeze.
