Scrumbag
Hello folks, Hope this finds everybody well and full of the Christmas spirit. Does anyone load "The Bob" for deer? Sierra Gamekings look good but any advice much appreciated. Best for 2015 folks!
Underdog
Oooh yes, what a sweet cartridge that is. I lament it is not popular over here. It would make a very good all rounder in Britain, arguably better than 243! In my humble useless opinion of course! I hope someone is using it! U. Scrumbag
Thanks Underdog, the Bob does seem to handle the 100gr + bullets better. I'm having one built on an FN Commercial. Scrummy Edited December 25, 2014 by Scrumbag

Underdog
We must be in the realms of good old h4350 and h4895? Got go look now!
Underdog
Yep, h4350 is my choice. Smooth and forgiving. U :-)
Scrumbag
I was wondering about Viht N140...
Scrumbag
Or maybe N160 for something heavier...
Dougy
A friend of mine has a nice custom 257 Roberts, ill tap him up for some info, I'm sure he uses Reloader 19 and 115 grain bullets. Give me a day or 2 ill get back or get him to post.
Underdog
Rl19 is a fave of mine too. I don't know much about viht. A friend uses (I think) n160 in his .270 and it is very good but did not like n155 (I think) in his 22-250! Talking of 22-250, it is a shame the 250Savage is not popular too! U. DJR.222
Some time ago I did some trial loads from my bob using 100gr game kings, Will try and find my info out for you. Without any real effort I got thumb nail sized group with a middle of the road charge of reloader 15. No sorry the powder was H4350, my mistake! Scrumbag
Thanks folks, much appreciated. Anyone use the Speer 120 Boat Tail Soft Soft Points? I'm going to try and run a heavier bullet but I'd also like something that will make some attempt at opening in the fox. Scrumbag
Hey DRJ, think Paritions would be a bit too tough for my purposes but thanks for the offer. Scrummy (Cheers Dougy)
Underdog
Hey scrummy, partitions I have seen ain't tough! The front blows off around 3000! That's what I remember of them!
Scrumbag
Ah, I'm thinking I'll barely be driving at 3000fps at the muzzle let alone on the deer Think I may go for 110gr. Scrummy
