RDP
I have a GoPro and I was wondering how/where people choose to mount the camera for the best footage? Is there a preference between head/gun mounting?

stubby
I mount either on the gun or chest, find head mounted you get too much movement, also by swapping between the two, you can edit it all into one later at home, as sometimes looking from one point can get boring

Can you tell me what fixing you use for gun mount as I have same camera gopro.

I just used one of the flat mounts, placed above the trigger in whatever place is flattest, I also have a velco strap type for putting on different guns, the chest harness was home made for around £1.50 but works just as good as the £35 go pro one

novice cushie shooter
Having used it on my head and viewing it, it does make a lot of movements when walked up. Driven is different as you can see from duffryns videos. I suppose its a bit of trial and error as to what suits the style of shooting you are doing. stubby
i am also intrested in this has anyone got footage from the differant mounting posisions thanks I'll take a picture of mine tomorrow, but it's really down to everyone, don't just think it needs to be mounted in one place and left, running it out into the field then runback, so it films you walking towards it, once edited it makes for a more interesting film, watch this, filmed by my mate over our woods,(I'm wearing the camo trousers) used two go pro's for different angles, ok it's not shooting, but shows how you could put a video together with basic editing and music, easy to do similar for shooting
DazzJo
Head mount is best way pal that's what I use on my go pro
Clc0608
I've used the head mount for a while but I've just converted to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GanBm-bDWL0. Bit steep at £52.99 but there's hardly anything you can't mount it to.
crosswaters
looks good and much better than head mount in my opinion, I've got a similar clamp but not a gopro one and use it to clamp onto backstay on my boat when sailing and much better when fixed to a steady position as you see more clearly without blurred vision. Pigeon Paul
I've used the head mount for a while but I've just converted to this . Bit steep at £52.99 but there's hardly anything you can't mount it to. These are excellent for a "shooters point of view". And far cheaper non genuine ones are available for less than £20.
