Kes
I have just received the following advice which somewhat conflicts with advice given previously on here, which I thought to be correct.. It seems that one company is recommending a gen2 product as opposed to a digital like either the x-sight or the Drone pro. Mag is 4 which is rather lower than I would hope but claimed distance to identify and shoot is over 300 M. Any views? Apparently this product was reviewed by a well known, if laid-back, fox shooter on Sporting Rifle. Any opinions advice appreciated - I want to get this right first time. Quote "The ATN X Sight is a day scope which has night vision capability however will not provide a clear image at 250yards, it is designed for 150-200m detection. I would recommend going for an ATN Night Arrow 4 White Phosphor which we can supply for £1699 or £1349 for the Custom Grade Tube (Gen 2+) version. This will comfortably supply a usable range to 300m + Please refer to Mike Powells recent article in Sporting Rifle where he tests the Night Arrow." There is a trial option available from Scott Country so if this is the best, I could do as you suggest.
FalconFN
There is a 14 day return on distance selling so, if you could spare the funds, you could always buy the 2 you like and send one back. Personally I think a higher mag (Drone Pro x10) would be more useful but it depends on what it is to be used for and whether you want to use it during the day too. The x sight has had some very disappointing reviews but it is apparently good in daylight.
fizzbangwhallop
Kes....... if you can hold out that long, it would be worth waiting for the British Shooting Show at Stoneleigh over the weekend of 13, 14 & 15 Feb so you can get your hands on the actual products. The new 10x Drone Pro should be on Carl's stand, hopefully with a couple(?) of other goodies he's keeping close to his chest about until they're actually available. Me... I have an original Drone Pro 10x (5x with doubler) and it's bloody marvelous. Cheers Fizz

A friend tried this with some thermal, £2000 plus thermal decided he didn't like it and sent it back they would only give him a credit note from scott country be careful
