kiffy
hi folks, i made a big mistake a couple of years ago... i got a six gun safe thinking it was huge and id never fill it.. well im sure we all know how that goes... so im after a new safe, i was going to get a second one but fancy one with an electronic keypad to make access easier and like the sound of the buffalo river gold line to gun as their a good price over the likes of sentry. thought id ask here before i get the credit card out to make sure im not buying a lemon... also interested in the internal layout, is it a row down either side or a single row accross the back? Mitchiet123
hi mate i have the buffalo river gold line 14 gun safe wood veneer. Absolutely **** keypad mine broke in the first couple of weeks, had 3 replacement ones and a new safe entirely- none worked for more than a week! It is a very good, roomy safe with a good interior layout and looks very nice and well constructed. i just use mine with the override key now as i removed the wire from the inside. Id get sentry if i had my time over again, however they are a bit more and have less space in them. also good customer service compared to buffalo river as buffalo river are based in china, with distributors as hiughland outdoors, trading through merchants such as the safe shop whom i purchased mine through. If you want to see one in the flesh you can come to mine and have a look inside if you want, im based in NP26 area so not a million miles away! Also interior layout is a row at the back for about 6/7/8 guns and then slots around the side for about 3 on each Good luck though! elgreco
I've got the buffalo river 10 gun (think its a silver line) it's a single row across the back of the cabinet. I decided against the keypad type lock and went for the normal key lock after reading various reviews Cheers Tom
Carman06
On a slightly different note. I'm new to shooting and do my research before I buy anything. I have bought the LOK3K from lokaway. It's a 8-10 gun safe, excellent design and was only £249 from Solware. Very impressed so far.
phaedra1106
Another vote for the Silver Line, much prefer the standard key type locking system. Edited January 31, 2015 by phaedra1106
