U admit u don't know the keeper but are happy to believe any story and see a fox limping so think he must of shot its leg off? He must be a hell of a shot if he can shoot back legs of foxes, even if it has been shot, i would almost guarantee it was not done on purpose. NO keeper ever wants to wound a fox, they want them dead even at this time of year they wil hammer ur wild nesting stock He has not helped himself or his reputation by shooting a hound illegally, but i dare say there could easy be a bit more to the story, i generally take most stories with a pinch of salt unless i know and trust the person very well, i for 1 would not be finshing of a wounded hound with a knife ur asking to get bit I know plenty of keepers/beater/pickers up that will happily bad mouth others all day for little apparent reason. Can be a very clichque?(spelling) sport think you are taking it a bit the wrong way or putting words into my mouth for starters i don't believe any story i hear, where did i say i did ,?? i do however believe what i here from a good friend who i have no reason to believe would lie, and where did i say he deliberately shot the leg off ( aimed at back leg) ?? i do however believe he could of took a rushed shot or a too longer shot and missed the intended target ie the chest area, ie a bit like shooting the wrong dog he could not see properly, colin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zx10mike Posted February 9, 2015 Report Share Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) The .223 stops a dog from worrying sheep. what a stupid bragging thing to write.i know some times there is no other option but my dog is family and i would think very hard about shooting a member of someones family if i did i would not brag about it. Livestock only, and as somebody said even then the shooter must notify the Police. Keeper could be prosecuted for criminal damage and violating his FAC conditions.
