bazzab
Mm mm have heard some horror stories about them too builders hammering me etc... Why not the X5 mate?
Blackbart
X trail and x5 ( if you can get one for 3k ) would get you across a football pitch, but not much else in the off road department where as an l200 would get you pretty much anywhere you care to point it. The downside is the l200 is a bit agricultural to drive and the other 2 drive like a car

fruity
Mmmmm a terrano ill have a look mate. Thank you. A touch agricultural like l200 etc but better inside and more likely to find a good condition one I find mine pretty good for everyday use and more than adequate for shooting type off road.. bazzab
There a bit odd looking and Mrs Bazzab has given it the old shake of the head to the terrano. She's still beating the L200 warrior drum!! Women!!!!
Outlander
I'd go for the X trail every time bud, very comfotable motors and you can use it to tow your caravan!!!!!

Uncle Albert
I've got an X Trail TSPEC. Lovely motor. 2.5lit petrol and get low 30's to the gallon. Loads of poke in it and great on the headlands round the farms. If you put full AT tyres on it your consumption will go down but it's very comfy and will pull a train. Nissans don't often go wrong so reliable. Got my one for £3600 wit 74K on the clock. Reversing light is all but useless though and the spots on the roof only come on with high beam. They can be changed I understand.

Get her to drive one first, a bit agricultural and fairly slow but you get into the rhythm with them. The other option is a rav 4, your budget means you will need to be careful as lots of rubbish about at that price
